LUGOFF – Funeral service for Stephen Anthony Jeffers, 58, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Lugoff Church of God with burial to follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Tim Shirley will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International. Mr. Jeffers died Sunday, December 30, 2012. Born in Lugoff, he was the son of the late Howell Joseph and Ruth Goff Jeffers. He was a local painting contractor and a member of Lugoff Church of God. He enjoyed basketball, football and playing horse shoes. He was an avid Gamecock fan. Surviving are his wife, Jeanette E. “Libby” Jeffers; step-daughter, Brandy Hudson (Brandon) of Lugoff; sister, Linda Okey of Nebraska, Ida Jeffers Anderson of Lugoff, Wanda Dixon (Marion) of Camden, and Frances Stradling (David) of Columbia; brother, Wayne Jeffers (Nancy) of Lugoff; and grandchildren, Katherine Rabon and Jack Ryan Hudson. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Jeffers.
