ELGIN – Funeral services for Rosa Mae Clifton, 92, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Green Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Clarke McGriff will officiate. Mrs. Clifton, wife of the late James Clifton, Sr., passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Born in Lugoff, she was a daughter of the late George and Carrie Thomas Tucker. Mrs. Clifton was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church since 1940. She enjoyed gardening. Surviving are her children, James Clifton, Jr., Lillie Carlos, Mary Hudson (Robert), Lathen Clifton, and Phyllis Clark; a sister, Lula Mae Belton, 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Henry, Richard and Robert Tucker; and sister, Lauran Wood, Minnie Belton, and Ellen McGee.
