LUGOFF – Funeral service for Amy Peake Twitty, 42, will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone and the Rev. Tim Shirley will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International or Midlands Women Center. Amy passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Minnie E. Gardner Peake and the late Olin Dewitt Peake Sr. She formerly worked for First Palmetto Bank and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed her time with family and going to the beach. Surviving are her husband of 18 years, Michael Ernest Twitty II; mother, Minnie Peake of Lugoff; daughter, Shana Elizabeth Twitty; son, Michael Ethan Twitty; sisters, Teresa Watkins (Billy), Darlene Hudson (Jackie), and Jennifer “Jenny” Stockman (Robbie); sister-in-law, Ronda Peake; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Dewitt Peake.
