Obituary of Arman P Chardukian
CAMDEN - Funeral Service for Arman Partemos Chardukian, 85, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00-2:45 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lasociete des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux “40 & 8”, Voiture 1444, Nursing Scholarship Fund, PO Box 1071, Camden, S.C. 29020.
Mr. Chardukian died Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Born in Racine, WI, he was the son of the late Partemos “Pa” and Tamon “Ma” Topalian Chardukian. He served in the United States Army during WW II. He owned and operated “Arman’s Exchange”, a local vacuum center for 50 years.
Arman was an avid member of the James Leroy Belk American Legion Post 17, and the Lasociete des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux “40 & 8, Voiture 1444. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, golf, billiards and swimming.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Selma Reynolds Chardukian; sons, Rodney Arman Chardukian of Little River, S.C., Jon Partemos Chardukian of Greenville, S.C., Arne G. (Sallie) Chardukian of Greenville, S.C., Joseph Reynolds Chardukian of Dallas, TX, and Brady Wilson Chardukian of San Francisco, CA.; daughter, Rose Chardukian Patteson of Camden; sister, Rose Chardukian Bratton of Racine, WI.; grandchildren, Lauren, Adam and Carley Chardukian, Jessica and Kaili Patteson, Chris and Ashly Chardukian; and relatives in South Carolina, Wisconsin and Arizona. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Margaret, and Eve; and brothers, George and Jack.
