CASSATT – Funeral services for Nancy Louise Council, 82, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Faith & Joy Tabernacle, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. George Council will officiate. The family will be receiving friends at 1381 James West Ln, Cassatt, S.C. Mrs. Council, wife of the late George Council, Sr., passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015. Born in Lane, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Adam and Dollie Oliver. Mrs. Council was a member of Greater Faith & Joy Tabernacle and Scott Hill Baptist Church. She loved the day camp and going bowling with Greater Faith & Joy Tabernacle and enjoyed taking care of her cats. Surviving are her children, Stella Robinson, Joe Mack, Julia Riley, Lillie Stratford, George Council, Jr., Bessie Stokes, Detra Benjamin, Maria Mack, Tomekia Fowler, Janette McKenzie; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susie Fowler; son, Tyron Council; and a sister, Susie K McNeil.
