WESTVILLE – A celebration of life service for Lonnie Wayne Catoe, 64, will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Oakridge Baptist Church. The Rev. Dale Myers and the Rev. Bobby James will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The National Kidney Foundation. Mr. Catoe went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Born in Monroe, N.C., he was a son of the late Frank and Bernice Sims Catoe. Mr. Catoe was a member of Oakridge Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and an usher. He enjoyed riding around, cooking, helping others, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Allene Truesdale Catoe; children, Jody Catoe (Stacey) of Westville, Renee Catoe of Gastonia, N.C.; grandchildren, Dalton Snead (Jacque), Caitlyn Catoe; great-grandchildren, Dalton Jr, Chyna, and Dyanna Snead; brother Larry Catoe (Terry) of Ten Mile, TN; and step-siblings, Ed Belk of Jefferson and Nancy Sewell of Newborn, N.C. He was predeceased by a son, Chris Catoe; brothers, Jerry, Jimmie, and Tommie Catoe; and a step-brother, Ell Belk.
