ELGIN – Funeral service for Richard Oscar Neeley Jr., 61, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church with burial to follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia. The Rev. Dr. Dan Griffin will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Heartstrings Hospice, 115 Blarney Drive, Suite 109, Columbia, SC 29223 or Harmony Baptist Church, 998 Tookie Doo Lane, Elgin, SC 29045. Mr. Neeley died Friday, January 18, 2013. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Richard Oscar Neeley Sr. and Louise Kelly Neeley. Surviving are his wife, Anne Hooks Neeley; step-son, Kyle Brandon Hooks of Elgin; sister, Nettie Neeley White of Columbia; and nephew Chris White (Kathy).
