CAMDEN – Funeral services for Anna Dell Brown Hendrix, 91, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Mt. Elon Baptist Church Cemetery, Lydia. The Rev. Homer Hinson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Hendrix, wife of the late James David Hendrix, Sr., passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Born in Bishopville, she was the daughter of the late Allie and Ollie Mathis Brown. She enjoyed being a seamstress, always making something for others, and cooking. Surviving are her daughters, Martha Duncan (Tyler) of Lake Murray, Marie Stokes of Lugoff; son, James David Hendrix, Jr. (Rae) of Camden; a brother, Jerry Brown (Vera) of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Russell Amerson, Shannon Porth, Pete Stokes, Linda Clower, Terry Hendrix, Christy Price and Donna Ives; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughters, Ina Amerson, Linda Price; brothers, Robert Brown, Joe Brown, and Ray Brown. The family extends a special thanks to the staff at the Karesh Wing at KershawHealth for their loving care.
