LUGOFF – Funeral service for Aline Watts Davis, 85, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Hermitage Baptist Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Condy Richardson and the Rev. Jason Fletcher will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hermitage Baptist Church, Joy Sunday School Class or Reveal God’s Plan, 814 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Camden, SC 29020. Mrs. Davis, wife of the late Jack Eldridge Davis, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Born in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Eugene and Julia Rebecca Peake Watts. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Kershaw County Memorial Hospital after 35 years. She was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis enjoyed bible study, gardening, sewing, traveling and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her; son, Kenneth Edwin Davis and his wife, Nancy of Mauldin, S.C.; daughters, Ann Davis Gennett and her husband, Nicholas of Salisbury, N.C. and Jackie Davis Niedringhaus and her husband, Donald of Rock Hill, S.C.; brothers, Bennie Watts, Marshall Watts and Donald Watts; grandchildren, Melissa Davis Kidd, Lauren Cox Frye, Brian Edwin Davis, Geoffrey Winston Cox, Rebecca Davis Yost, Steven Davis Niedringhaus, Kevin Donald Niedringhaus; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin Kidd, Caroline Kidd, William Yost, Elizabeth Yost, Charles Frye, Henry Jack Niedringhaus, Jack Frye and Jack Davis. She was predeceased by brothers, Harold Watts, Oscar Watts and Maxie Watts.
