CAMDEN – Funeral services for Jody Melvin Truesdale, Sr., 50, will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Truesdale Family Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Bausum will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Triad Church Joy Bausum Mission Fund, 705 Sunshine Way, Greensboro, N.C. 27409. Mr. Truesdale passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016. Born in Camden, he was a son of Virginia Shiver Truesdale and the late Lawton Melvin Truesdale. Mr. Truesdale enjoyed hunting, gardening and fishing. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Danielle Boykin Truesdale; daughter, Kristen Therrell of Camden; son, Jody M. Truesdale, Jr of Camden; sister, Iva T. Baker; brother, James Truesdale (Nancy); and grandchildren; Maddox, Jude, and Oliver Therrell; and a sister-in-law, Linda Truesdale. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronger Truesdale; and a brother-in-law, Sidney Baker.
