LEXINGTON – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Martha Kay Hayes, 46, will be held on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Theil-Meyer Pet Adoption Center. Kay passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016. Born in Bishopville, she was the daughter of Bobby Gene and Italeen Driggers Hayes. She enjoyed motorcycles, boating, fishing, camping and loved animals. Surviving are her parents, Bobby and Italeen Hayes of Lugoff; sisters, Barbara Hayes, Patricia Freezon (Tony) and Marcell Morgan (Jerry); brother, Gene Hayes; friend, Velvet Pridgen; and 7 nieces and nephews.
