Billy,
We are so sorry to hear of Sarah's passing. Even though we did not have the opportunity to really get to know her, we know she must have been a wonderful lady. Having known you from the years at Builders Transport it was easy to see you had a great partner at home. Please have comfort that many people, including us, will have you and the family in our thoughts and prayers in the trying days ahead.
May God bless.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my precious cousin, Sarah Maude -- a person of great intellect, faith and courage. She had one of the sweetest spirits I have ever encountered in a human being, and I will miss her dearly. Rest in peace Sarah, and have a joyous eternity. We all love you, and we will always remember you. My deepest condolences to Billy, David, Bill, Diane and all of your family.

Being Sarah Maude's cousin was one of the biggest honors and joys of my life. We not only loved each other, but some thought we even looked alike. That's about where the likeness ended though because she was brilliant (a Math teacher!). Our times together through the years, though all too brief, were always fun and inspiring for me. She was a kind, soft, gentle, caring, and longsuffering lady who loved her family, friends, students and pets. Billy, David, Bill and Dianne, I grieve your loss as well as my own. I know that Sarah rests in peace and is loving her heavenly home. She looked so forward to being there. But won't we miss her.

I was so saddened to hear that Sarah had passed. She and I had so much fun together on the faculty of L-E High. She really brightened my days with laughter. I could always count on Sarah to add a fun and witty comment on the day's school events. I have never heard any student make an unkind statement about Sarah. I admired her as a teacher and valued her as a friend. I love her and miss her already.

What a joy and privilege it has been for me to know Sarah through our Book Club, even though it was for only a brief time. I will always remember her for her sweet and gentle nature and her courage in battling her cancer. We will miss her.

Ms. Maltby was my teacher at LE and CCTC, I will miss seeing her around town. I could not believe I graduated in 1995 and when I had her as a math instructor at CCTC in 2009 she and I picked up right where we left off just like we had seen each other everyday. I also had the pleasure of taking care of her and her husband, Billy while they were at the hospital. I am honored to have helped take care of her as she would have done for me. God bless you all, she will be missed by so many people.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. When we lose someone in death, the pain, the grief and the feeling of helplessness can seem unbearable. The Bible promises: "God is near to those broken at heart." It also says: "Throw your burden upon God himself and he himself will sustain you." (Psalm 34;18 and 55:22) I hope this message will help you cope with the loss of your loved one.
