I am so sorry to hear of Dee's death. She was a wonderful person and a good friend. When I lived in NC we showed corgis together and then she would be there with her whippets. As fellow nurses we also found a special bond. My condolences to her family.

Dee and I were fellow nursing students at Carolina. My first remembrance of Dee was when we were moving into the freshman dorm and there was Dee's mother "great with child!" I think sister Elaine had just gotten married that summer of 1966. Dee was a great friend during college. Life has a way of moving us in separate directions. We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Dee's family. We both had working relationships with Dee. She was a rock-steady nurse. She had a great smile and great sense of humor. She always referred to her clients as "our crowd". Her dogs were rascals too. John remembers the time Tina stole his lunch. Dee was a great lady. She will be deeply missed.
