I was deeply saddened to learn of Martha's passing. She always held a special place in my heart. She always took time to care about and remember others. When I lost my son, Alex, she remembered the date of that loss and would send me a card every anniversary of that loss. She showed love, kindness to everyone who came in contact with her. She will truly be missed. and will never be forgotten because she touched so, so many lives.

It was with much sadness to learn of the death of your mother. At the same time it brings back a lot of fond memories of two of the finest people Linda and I ever known. I went to school at Mt. Pisgah and played ball 1963-1966 during that time I knew your mom. We moved to Bethune in 1972...we had known both your mom and dad, but when we became part of the Bethune community we got to know them much better. Your parents were fine people. If we all pattern our lives by what we saw in them this would be a better place. May God hold you in the hallow of his hand during this time.

Lewis, Paul, Margaret, and Helen,
I pray that God will bless you greatly and minister to your every need during this time of your bereavement. I was a student of Mrs. Pitts at Mt. Pisgah many years ago. She was a kind and gracious teacher, who always had the best interest of her students at heart. In fact, she was more than a teacher, she was a friend. I have very fond memories of her. She will be missed by many. May the love our our Lord and the precious memories of her strengthen you always.

Dear Pitts family,
Over the decades of knowing and loving Lewis, I had the repeated pleasure of getting to visit with his mother. I quickly came to understand that what made Lewis the grand and gracious gentleman he is was his mom. She is gone, but her gifts live on in her family.
