ELGIN – A graveside service for Roger Dale Medley, 58, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Tri-County. Mr. Medley died Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Robert and Ethel Harwell Medley. He enjoyed gardening and working around the home. Surviving are his wife, Joanne Ross Medley; step-son, Patrick Perry (Sheri); brothers, Ray Medley (Peggy), Steve Medley (Debra), and Donnie Medley (Patty); sisters, Patricia Harmon (David), Bonnie West (James), and Linda Dakin; and step-grandson, Patrick William Perry. He was predeceased by a sister, Brenda Kay Brown; and step-son, Andy Perry. The family expresses the gratitude to his caregivers, Edna Bell and Charlie Medlin; and the staff of Hospice of Tri-County for their loving care.
