Anita, Vicki, Tanya, and family, When I look in my memory dictionary for the definition of 'true friend' or for 'bold witness' I see the picture of Richard Chase. He was a true and faithful friend. Richard and a few others were either to be blame or thanked for Sandi and me being blessed to serve LFBC. I have such fond memories of our great conversations. He was always one of my best encouragers and gave great advice. Heaven will be a much more lively place now that he is home. Never fearful to speak his deep convictions, Richard was one of those special and unique persons who could and would readily articulate his deeply held faith, and often in my presence shared his love and trust in the Savior. I will sure miss you my dear friend. To Anita and the family I pledge my continued love and prayers. May Father continue to smile upon you all during these days. And may He give you all His grace to celebrate Richard's home-going through your broken hearts. I love you all. Pastor Kenny

What a wonderful man Richard was! He made several trips with me to the Chapel at Lake Wateree to play his harmonica for the church. He was never at a loss for words. He loved the Lord deeply and shared that love with all he met. He made an impact on my life!

My husband,Bob, and I have known Richard and Anita for most of the 32 years we have lived here. Whenever you ran into Richard out walking in the neighborhood he would always share with you a particular scripture, which we as Christians should do, share God’s word. And he knew it well. It was such an honor to be a part of his care these last couple of months, he and Anita were always so grateful for everything you did for them. Although he was in pain most of the time he still told great interesting stories. I will remember this special humbling time always. Till we meet again on that beautiful shore.
