Gina and I became life long friends starting in Kindergarten. Through the years no matter how much time went by between our last phone call or visit we could always pick up where we left off and talk for hours without running out of things to say. A rare and special bond has the ability to do that. She was more like a sister than simply a friend. It’s a profound loss when so many of your childhood memories and shared times leave this earth with a special person and a like soul who understood your humor and shared values. I know I will see Gina again. As high school students I shared the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with Gina because I did not want to go to Heaven without her. She willingly accepted the invitation and prayed that Jesus would be her Savior and forgive her sin and receive her into His Kingdom one day. That day has come and I feel certain she is there now. Gina embodied the Fruit of the Spirit we read about in Galatians, Love, Joy, Peace,Gentleness,Goodness,,Meekness, Kindness,Self Control, Humility.
I am comforted knowing one day I will be there with her and we will laugh and talk again. We will pick up where we left off like we always have. I’m sure God the Father has her in charge of the heavenly stables and she is organizing the riders up there. God Bless and Comfort all who loved this special woman.
