Obituary of Gina Lynn Hemmig

CAMDEN – Funeral service for Gina Lynn Hemmig, 63, will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery.  The Rev. Larry Frazier will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020.

    Mrs. Hemmig passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.  Born in Fort Knox, Ky., she was the daughter of Joanne Moyer Salvati and the late Lewis Salvati, II.  She grew up in Reading, Pa. and lived in Ocoee, Fla. And Oxford, N.C. before retiring to Camden, S.C. She loved caring for animals, especially her horses.  She enjoyed horseback riding, bird watching and interior decorating.

    Left to cherish her memory, are her husband of 41 years, Steven Dale Hemmig; daughter, Lauren Hemmig of Bellmawr, N.J.; mother, Joanne Salvati of Orlando, Fla.; and brother, Lewis Salvati, III of Ocoee, Fla.
