Vena Mae was my idol as a young nurse Tech and my muse as I began to practice nursing. She taught me so much about being professional, kind and competent. She was a beautiful woman with a knock down gorgeous smile.
The last few years have been heartbreaking, watching her decline. She deserved a better ending to her life. One thing for sure, she loved her boys and they loved her. A mother can ask for little else if she is adored by her children.
It was my privilege to care for her on occasion and to know the family's devotion
