Obituary of Charles Pinkerton

LUGOFF – Graveside service for Charles Pinkerton, 72, will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Columbia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of South Carolina Foundation.

Mr. Pinkerton passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.  Born in Columbia, S.C., he was the son of the late James W. “Jim” Pinkerton and Gladys Ashburn Pinkerton.  He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and taught public school in Columbia before working for Todd and Moore where he retired.  He was an avid USC Gamecock fan.

 He was predeceased by a brother, James W. Pinkerton III.
